OUR TREATMENT METHODS—
HERE IS HOW WE HELP YOU
Our treatments include a variety of highly effective options that are designed around the very latest in pain treatment research and technology. Dr. Madan will work with you to determine which treatment options will provide you with the best results, in the shortest time possible.

CONSERVATIVE CARE
Sometimes the best cure is to allow the body to heal itself—with a little assistance to nudge things along. We monitor you through any treatment plan we design for you, and move you from conservative care options to more advanced treatment based entirely on how you respond to your prescribed treatment plan. Physical therapy (PT) may play a role in your conservative treatment if you need to learn to re-use an injured or surgically repaired body part, or to help break down scar tissue so that you can regain functionality and get back to your normal, healthy life.

PAIN MEDICATIONS
Our goal, when it comes to medications, is to provide you with an individualized regimen that meets your specific pain management needs. Pain medications may include topical gels, patches, pills, or spinal infusions—possibly even a combination of any of these, as needed. We monitor the administration of these medications as well as your reactions to them, to determine what is effectively helping you manage your pain with as few side effects as possible.

We have several categories of pain medication available, including non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, anticonvulsants, antidepressants, opioids, and muscle relaxers.

INJECTIONS AND NERVE BLOCKS
To help decrease local inflammation or even help break down scar tissue, there may be times when injection therapy is needed. This can help make it easier to achieve results through physical therapy, and can help allow healing to progress.

PROCEDURES WE USE—
THE TECHNOLOGY AND PROCESSES THAT HELP US HELP YOU
We are continuously investigating the latest techniques, technology, and research on advanced pain management. We have implemented some of the best and most effective approaches available to help you find relief from your chronic pain.

RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION (RFA)
For patient suffering pain due to arthritic swelling, such as in the spinal joins, RFA can provide much-needed relief, sometimes for several months. This can help reduce reliance on pain medication, which can help improve your quality of life.

IMPLANTABLE PAIN CONTROL DEVICES
When pain does not respond to medication or conservative care, it may be necessary to turn to advanced technology. Spinal stimulators and pain pumps are implantable devices that we can use to help you manage severe pain, when no other options seem to work.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE SPINAL PROCEDURES
In some cases, the best pain treatment plan may include minimally invasive spinal procedures, such as percutaneous lysis of adhesions, percutaneous disc decompression, and percutaneous vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty. We will work with you closely in determining whether you need one of these procedures.
